Here's how we can help

FirstOntario offers six education awards valued at $1,000 each to those who exemplify leadership qualities, community engagement and the drive to make our communities better.

Here's what you need to know

Person

Open to first or second year post-secondary students aged 25 or younger

Open Book

You need a 70% average or higher (we’ll need your Grade 12 transcript)

Tell us about your community volunteerism and experience that highlights co-operative philosophies of caring, co-operation and community

Application submissions

Applications for the 2021 Education Awards are now closed and reopen again in spring 2022.

You do not have to be a Member of FirstOntario Credit Union to apply. If you are a successful recipient, you agree to visit a FirstOntario branch in person to become a Member in order to receive your award.

CU Succeed Youth Bursary

The CU Succeed Youth Bursary was established in 2016 by the Ontario Credit Union Foundation. The Foundation provides funding for the CU Succeed Youth Bursary program open to resident Ontario post-secondary students in need of financial assistance for academic, technological, or vocational training. Applications will open April 30 and close June 30 at 11:59 p.m.
