I am extremely interested in joining the FirstOntario Board of Directors. I have a long history of serving on numerous Boards and contributing to organizations in the Hamilton community. I am currently retired and looking to continue contributing to my community. My experience and expertise gained over my career will be a valuable asset to FirstOntario.

What can you specifically contribute to the Board?

  • Extensive experience with governance Boards both as Chairperson and serving on committees
  • Certification in Not for Profit Governance, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University
  • Over 40 years’ experience in general management, finance, strategic planning, employee relations and organizational change
  • Good leadership qualities, profit & loss analysis, conflict resolution, problem solving

Educational/Professional Designations

  • 1972 Mohawk College, Hamilton, Ontario – 3-year Business Diploma (Marketing & HR)
  • Various courses & Special training in Facilitation, Train the trainer, Coaching and Conflict resolution
  • Certification in Not for Profit Governance

Work Experience

  • Owned and operated LCM Associates a management consulting firm providing clients with Corporate Strategic Planning, Performance Management, Leadership Training, Organizational Development and Change Management
  • Owned and operated Ultimate Staffing an executive search and staffing business providing employers with a wide range of candidates for both permanent and contract positions

Board and Committee Experience

  • Hamilton Chamber of Commerce – 8 years on Board and one term as Board Chairperson
  • Chaired the Hamilton Chamber’s Strategic Planning Committee and Past President’s Governing Council
  • President and Board Chair of the Canadian Club of Hamilton
  • President and Board Chair of the Business Executives Organization of Hamilton
  • Member of the City’s advisory Committee on Immigrants and Refugees
  • Current Board member and past Chair of PATH Employment Services serving people with disabilities
