FirstOntario is committed to helping our young members achieve more than just financial success

When you make the important decision to go to college or university, your studies, not your bank account, should be your first priority. We’ve supported 122 Education Award winners since 2005 and provided more than $150,000 in the pursuit of higher education.

FirstOntario offers six education awards valued at $1,000 each to those who exemplify leadership qualities, community engagement and the drive to make our communities better.

Person

Open to first or second year post-secondary students aged 25 or younger

Open Book

You need a 70% average or higher (we’ll need your Grade 12 transcript)

Other Opportunities

CU Succeed Youth Bursary

The CU Succeed Youth Bursary was established in 2016 by the Ontario Credit Union Foundation. The Foundation provides funding for the CU Succeed Youth Bursary program open to resident Ontario post-secondary students in need of financial assistance for academic, technological, or vocational training. Applications open April 30, 2025 and close June 30, 2025 at 11:59 pm.
