Niagara College Rise & Shine Breakfast

FirstOntario is pleased to be part of Niagara College's Nourishing Minds initiative that supports student food insecurity. Blue Wave employee volunteers will be on hand at the Welland campus to serve up the free Rise & Shine breakfast for students.
Food4Kids Hamilton Breakfast Gala

The annual gala raises vital funds to help reach more children facing the reality of food insecurity. The event provides community, connection and compassion and ensures no child in the community has to go hungry.

Gore Park Community Outreach

Hamilton City Hall, Hamilton
The Gore Park Community Outreach makes a difference in Downtown Hamilton by serving nearly 1,000 guests weekly at Hamilton City Hall. They provide food, drinks, and a sense of community to seniors, families, refugees, and those experiencing homelessness. FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers will be lending a hand.
Seaway Mall Gift Wrapping
Saturday, December 6
Seaway Mall, Welland
FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers will get into the spirit by helping with holiday gift wrapping. Gift wrapping will be available throughout the month in front of Santa's Workshop and all proceeds will support Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation.
Fortinos Turkey Drive in support of Neighbour to Neighbour

Fortinos (Upper James at Rymal), Hamilton
Neighbour to Neighbour Centre’s food bank will provide free groceries, including a turkey, to over 1,700 families this holiday. The Turkey Drive is taking place at select Fortinos stores and FirstOntario’s Blue Wave employee volunteers will be on hand to help with the promotion.
Burlington Mall Gift Wrapping
Sunday, December 7 and Wednesday, December 10
Burlington Centre, Burlington
FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers will get into the spirit by helping with holiday gift wrapping. Gift wrapping will be available throughout the month and all proceeds will support Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation.
Christmas Wonderland

Hamilton Convention Centre, Hamilton
Good Shepherd's Annual Holiday Celebration returns. The event starts at 11 a.m. and is open to the public. FirstOntario's Blue Wave volunteers will be there to help throughout the day.

United Way Halton & Hamilton - Operation: Toy Drive
Toys R Us and Ontario Provincial Police teamed up for Operation: Toy Drive in support of United Way Halton & Hamilton. FirstOntario's Blue Wave employee volunteers were there to welcome the community and fill the command centre with toys.
The Hammer Plunge
FirstOntario was proud to be a part of the inaugural Hammer Plunge, supporting Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. This exhilarating, family-friendly event invited our community to come together to make a splash in support of life-saving care at Hamilton General Hospital, including the Regional Rehabilitation Centre.
Out of the Cold Dinner
The Out of the Cold Program supports the unhoused and hungry of St. Catharines and provides a hot, nourishing meal and overnight shelter to the less fortunate. FirstOntario provided the hot dinner and Blue Wave employee volunteers to help portion the meal.
WERK Night
WERK Nights is a collaborative community event for female business owners to network, inspire, learn and enjoy a fun night out. FirstOntario was pleased to partner with this event that took place on November 20.
